Wallace was born on the outskirts of Durham City eighty-one years ago. He was married at twenty-one to his childhood sweetheart, Pat, whom he first met when he was eleven; they have just celebrated their sixtieth wedding anniversary.
They never lived more than five miles from the Cathedral City until they were almost forty years old with two children, boys. Then, employment took their small family to the south coast: E.Sussex for a decade, followed by ten years in lovely Hampshire.
Employment brought them back to the North, and now retired, they live on the edge of a small rural town in beautiful East Lancashire, NW England.
An author of children’s books with several works published on Amazon, retirement gave Wallace the time to concentrate on writing.
Now a multi-award-winning author his latest project is bringing the Jimmy Crikey stories to market in audio formats with the help and direction of a great narrator.
The fifth story, The Adventures of Jimmy Crikey: The Youngest Ever Witch won the coveted Gold medal in the Global Books Awards.
The sixth Jimmy Crikey fantasy story was published in January 2024 and was awarded a SILVER medal by Global Books Awards and was short listed for the Page Turner awards. In addition to writing children’s stories, he wrote a memoir recounting events that moulded the first seventeen years of his life. That was the year he met Pat for the second time and the year his father died.
His account highlights his turnaround from a humble childhood in poverty to a successful career in technical sales and many adventures in International markets.
