There is a certain slant of light

That split thru my window

Into multi-colored rays

Which bounce and tumble to the floor

The bright elusive beads

Dance and tease my poor cat

Hunched up in the corner

I can’t wait for spring when the lilacs will come into bloom and spread its heady fragrance. It’s so short and flitting. If you snooze you will miss it.I just can’t have enough of it.
